2024 Election Analysis: Battle Between Lecturers vs. Weary Voters

2024 Election Analysis: Battle Between Lecturers vs. Weary VotersThe 2024 Election: A Battle Between Lecturers and Those Weary of Lectures The upcoming 2024 election is not just a contest between liberal Democrat Harris and conservative Republican Trump. Instead, it has evolved into a broader conflict between those who consistently condescend to their fellow Americans and those who are growing increasingly weary of such condescension. For instance, it is questionable how wise it is for Harris supporters to continuously label former President Trump as a fascist dictator, thereby indirectly labeling his voters as well. Women voters show a preference for Kamala Harris by approximately 53-5 percent, while Trump enjoys a similar, albeit slightly smaller, majority of male voters. However, Harris, along with campaign surrogates Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, has been incessantly telling both black and white male voters that they are misguided. Harris's condescension reached a peak when she ran ads featuring actors dressed as working-class men, spouting scripted talking points to demonstrate that "real" men are progressive Harris supporters. However, the actors' performances were so obviously contrived and their lines so unrealistic that most viewers probably thought the ads were created by Trump himself to highlight the arrogance of out-of-touch elites. The Trump campaign also employs various strategies to win over female voters, such as promising to address the Biden-Harris hyperinflation and reduce escalating crime in towns and cities. However, they avoid claiming that women are unaware of their real self-interest and deceived by Harris, correctly assuming that belittling voters' intelligence is not a winning strategy. Harris and Obama have both criticized black men for not voting overwhelmingly for Harris, despite the fact that a significantly higher percentage of black men will vote for Harris than for Trump. This habit of berating the electorate for its supposed ignorance or moral failings has become a hallmark of the Harris campaign. Harris argues that opposition to the entry of 10-12 million foreign nationals into the country illegally without background checks during the Biden-Harris administration indicates a lack of compassion. She also dismisses concerns about the current declining rate of illegal immigration, ignoring the millions of illegal immigrants who were essentially welcomed by the Biden-Harris administration prior to the 2024 election cycle. Voters are also frequently told that they should be grateful for the Biden-Harris economy because the rate of inflation is falling. However, voters know from personal experience that prices for staple foods, fuel, insurance, and housing have soared by approximately 20-30 percent since 2021 and have remained extraordinarily high. The auto industry is currently in crisis, with a large inventory of electric vehicles sitting unsold. Harris and the left imposed numerous EV standards in their battle against the internal combustion engine, but consumer demand and the free market have ignored these increasingly strident lectures. Harris has also claimed that the crime rate, which spiked in 2021-2023, is now not as bad. However, voters are well aware that their major cities are now unsafe. They suspect that the reason crime is not rising as rapidly this year as it did two years ago is because it had become so severe that any further significant increases would have rendered life completely unlivable. The Harris campaign has been further damaged by past videos of Harris lecturing voters about how they must think correctly or remain selfishly or ignorantly clueless. This 2024 race may be reminiscent of an October 1980 teachable moment. Then, incumbent Jimmy Carter, who was leading in the final October polls over challenger Ronald Reagan, finally alienated voters for good with his preachy and sanctimonious attitude. Reagan, however, reminded voters that America was superior to all alternatives, didn't need to be perfect to be good, and had nothing to apologize for. The same contrast will likely determine the outcome of the 2024 election. Bottom Line This article provides an in-depth analysis of the upcoming 2024 election and the strategies employed by both the Harris and Trump campaigns. It highlights the potential pitfalls of condescending to voters and the importance of respecting their intelligence and experiences. What are your thoughts on this matter?
